County Commission

Hutchinson County Commission Meetings are the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. November 15th - March 15th meetings start at 1pm. March 16th - November 14th meetings start at 9am in the County Commissioner Room #166. Dates are subject to change due to conflicting events and/or inclement weather.

During these public meetings, the Board hears and votes on a variety of county issues. The Board approves the annual budget, adopts local ordinances and resolutions, and establishes policies which govern the county to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens.

The Hutchinson County Board of Commissioners contains five members elected by constituents within their districts for four-year, staggered terms. They are the main policy making body for the county government, but their power over certain policy areas is restricted by law.
